UmbrellaBabes

While living in New York, my favorite subjects to shoot were its umbrella-clad residents. There's just something about their stylistic choices they make, coupled with a New Yorkers ability to accomplish just about anything during inclement weather, that made them so magical to photograph. This first series of 10 are from my earliest years shooting UmbrellaBabes. They were all shot on 35mm using either a Nikon F3 or Yashica T5. Each piece has falling rain and the sound of it hitting pavement, but a few also have some audible Easter eggs sprinkled throughout.
