The Cuban Eye

The Cuban Eye is a limited collection of 111 unique and original 1/1 photographs taken by the photographer Jose Manuel Betancourt over the last 10 years. J.M. Betancourt was born in Havana, Cuba (1965).He left his hometown in 1984 for socio-political reasons, establishing his new home in Kyiv, Ukraine. Years later, in 2002 he started a new stage emigrating to Valencia, Spain, where he lives today. This collection tries to capture the beauty of the three countries that have marked his life, from the simplicity of everyday life. The funds will be used to help J.M Betancourt's relatives in Cuba and Ukraine, and to invest in new photographic equipment.
