The Bathtub Experience

The Bathtub Experience is an ongoing seven year photography project focused on a singular New York bathtub where people are the canvas and fingers the brush. In this series I used the confinement of the bathtub to create collaborative pieces of art. Working with people of all backgrounds, they would be covered in paint and directed to perform under the watchful eye of the camera. By limiting myself to using the same composition in all images, attention is drawn to the paint, the human beings and their relation to the water and the bathtub. This first release contains a selection of my 30 favorite images from this time.
