Aurora Australis - Southern Lights Magic

Seeing the Aurora Australis with the naked eye is quite rare in New Zealand. So definitely count yourself lucky if you ever get to experience this. The best way to guarantee seeing this on an active night is by capturing it with a camera. That is why I have put this small collection together, so you can all experience it with me from where ever you may be. The Aurora Australis is one of my favourite things to capture. As sometimes it is a matter of dropping everything to get out there and shoot it. All of the images in this collection are captured from Lake Ruataniwha.
