256 colors

256 colors NFT project merges the most recent state of the Internet art, and one of it's oldest: the 256 web safe colors. At the very beginning of the Internet, screens displayed quite poor resolutions and had low qualities of colors rendering. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), in charge of creating usage guidelines in this unexplored territory, recommended at this point a list of safe colors: the ones that could be used confidently, knowing they would render approximately right on every screen, even the low-quality ones. Now that computer & mobile screens can display billion of colors, 256 colors NFT proposes to immerge in 256 x 256 px pictures of a web safe color, in exchange of an NFT.
