“Synesthesia is an involuntary joining in which the real information of one sense is accompanied by a perception in another sense.” I read that in a book, and found it fascinating that one sense would be classified as “real” and the other as “perceived”. What is reality, if not our perception? Each piece is a visual score for the music I select. It’s an attempt to communicate what I see and experience when I listen to it. These pieces reflect my methodical, almost obsessive need to represent the music in its most pure, truest form.
