General Welfare

A Digital Collage Series using letters, faces, words, numbers and patterns from United States currency. Prints range in series and styles while always following a few design rules set in place by the artist. The series name "General Welfare" comes from the often misunderstood or misquoted words of the Preamble of the United States Constitution which is a theme I have revisited over the years. My goal with this series is to highlight the disparities of American experiences between the lines of rich and poor, first and third generation Americans and urban, suburban and rural living.
