These religious works of art form a major part of the murals. They include various Buddha images and Bodhisattvas, such as the Third Buddha, the Seventh Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, Thuobo Buddha, Sanja Thousand Buddha, Manjusri, Pu-Yin, Guanyin, Sizhi, and the Ba Bu of the Dragon, etc.These are all depicted according to the narrative diagram.The murals in the Mogao Grottoes contain 933 figurines and 12,208 Buddhas.
