City Girl Mandala

Inspired by Indian mandala art, Carlie finds that it is an ideal way to explore and express her inner world, build a connection with the surroundings, and understand the universe. Carlie transforms this art form with less Indian elements and more of her intuitive expression. Mandala is drawn from the very centre of the piece, just like light glowing from one spot and spreading outward. The patterns are not designed beforehand. The layers are added bit by bit by intuition. Carlie draws mandala all by hand, with ink on papers.
