The Ghosts of Elowah by Jordan Inglee

If you listen closely, you can hear their voices, The Ghosts of Elowah. The Ghosts tell a story of the burnt forest surrounding Elowah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, which suffered a major wildfire in 2017 that consumed nearly 50,000 acres and took 3 years to reopen. A large rockslide shut off this area two weeks after this visit and not all of these trees survived. I utilized “ICM” or Intentional Camera Movement to make these images and processed each to bring out the unique blend of colors and textures found in the forest during golden hour.
