GongBi

GongBi refers to the Chinese Fine Line Ink Painting. It is one of the oldest Chinese painting techniques that can be traced back to approximately 2000 years ago during the Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) and peaked out between the Tang and Song dynasties (7th to 13th centuries) . Through the history, the techniques of Gongbi has evolved into various types of art forms across the East and the West, ex. the sketch, the illustrations, the comics...etc. This collection will carry the traditional art form and experiment with contemporary influences to create an unknown mixture of my poetic narratives.
