“What are you to the whole, and what is the whole to you?” "The Masses" is a collection of 7 conceptual photographic images that probe at the relationship and interplay between the individual, the collective, the distinct roles they both hold in modern life, and human behaviour/ psychology. Through a combination of staging and digital manipulation, these images propose distilled & surreal re-imaginings of the everyday collective happenings of our world. Removed from reality just enough to invoke the uncanny, they hold up a mirror to what we often overlook and accept without question.
