KATZENMALEN - started as social art experiment in 2018, empowering random people to draw cats. The foundation collected over 1000 cats in the first year and held exhibitions in Hamburg - soon experiments with technology started - a cat detector AI / cat image optimizer was created and a cat rating Tinder-like webapp was prototyped. The katzenmalen foundation currently keeps an archive of about 4000 individual cat drawings from unknown artists in over more than 40 catbooks. We will release selected cats and transform them with the help of customized neuronal network pipelines to artificial cat dreams which will evolve over time.
