Ryan Duke - Vivid Frames

"Vivid Frames" is a series of 1/1 photographs that explores the use of framing to create depth, instill a sense of place, and alter how subjects are perceived. I love framing subjects with foreground elements to make compositions more creative. Our sense of scale can be turned on its head, we can be delighted by unexpected smatterings of color, and we can even begin to feel like we're actually part of the moment. They have the power to make images feel more real and surreal at the same time. This first release is a collection of 25 images taken during my travels around California over the past several years.
