We, the few, we the “lucky” burned. This collection of 900 Tokens (all unique) was created to witness an historical moment for the NFTs. The event, first of its kind, took place on Opensea on September 7, 2021 at 08:08:11 PM +1 UTC. A bug introduced to Opensea’s transfer page affected all ERC721 transfers to ENS names, resulting in the destruction of a total of 42 NFTs. The value of all NFTs burned totaled ETH 28.44 – about $100,000. These NFTs went to a burn address, meaning they were accidentally sent to an address that nobody controls and thus can no longer be moved or retrieved.
