2400 steps to better photographs

Commissioned by Canon, 2400 steps is a 24 image photo story from Hanoi, Vietnam. Canon asked me to write about creative block for their Pro Photographers Series. The series takes in 2400 literal steps.
 
Starting from my favourite egg coffee spot (you have to taste it to believe it) I walked 100 paces and took a single picture. I repeated this to fill a single ‘roll’ of 24 exposures. The 2,400 Steps exercise creates an easy set of rules to follow, a purpose and direction that can help get past creative block by giving our inspiration that kick it sometimes needs. It all starts with just one step.
