Juneteenth Remembered by Abrahanny

I was invited to be a part of a crew creating a documentary in memory of Juneteenth, in Galveston, TX, earlier in May. Such a documentary focused on the set of events that took place on June 19th, 1865, where a decree was signed into place to free the enslaved, becoming what is known as **_“Juneteenth”_** or America’s second independence. While on this project, I ventured off to capture images that would help tell of this experience to my family and friends. This quickly extended to include YOU, my NFT community!
