We curate original, 100% unique, Japanese woodblock (ukiyo-e) prints from the 1850's - 1890's. The prints are selected based on the genre, artist, composition, and history. Most of our prints can be found in major museum collections around the world, in many cases our prints are superior in quality. A standard woodblock series back in 1870 Japan would run 4,000 - 7,000 handmade prints. Over wars with Korea, two world wars, numerous earthquakes, fires, and other disasters, only a small number of those prints survive to today.
