Jack Kaido is an abstract painter. He creates lifelike abstract paintings in digital’s endlessly-reproducible form, then plays with this by minting 1/1 only editions, just like real paintings — a buyer becomes the only person worldwide to own the painting. Kaido experiments with colours through colour theory and seeks to capture moments, memories, emotions, landscapes and ideas in his paintings. This capturing is viewed as a form of photograph of an experienced inner moment, or in other words, ’polaroids of the within’.
