Middle of Century

"Middle of the Century" is a continuing series that I started in 2015 (on Instagram), wherein I alter and add more recent elements or surreal ideas to select pictures from the British Library's collection of public domain images scanned by Microsoft. As a person from a country with a rich colonial history, there is a sense of irony that I feel in being able to take and repurpose past illustrations & photographs from a collection from one of the biggest colonizing nations in world hostory.
