Chasing Ghosts

Ever since I was a child, I have been obsessed with the night sky. As an adult, I still look up in wonder and have tried to capture some of that feeling in photographs. This collection represents several years of my studying, chasing, and imaging some of the rarest events in our atmosphere that are only visible at night- Red Sprites. These are all real scenes, images of massive and intricate atmospheric breakdowns above strong lightning strikes. They are tough to predict and very fast which leaves them extremely difficult to image.
