ARABIC CALLIGRAPHIES

Arabic Calligraphies are the collection of varieties of writings scripted from Holy Qur'an and some important sentences of prayers used in routine life. It is known in Arabic as khatt, derived from the word 'line', 'design', or 'construction'. It is a category of calligraphy which have wide verities of designs and style, as periodic, gothic and modern. Kufic is the oldest form of the Arabic script. It has been linked in the Arabic Civilization to various fields such as religion, art, architecture, education and craftsmanship, which in return have played an important role in its advancement.
