Overlapse

OverLapse is my commentary on the fast-paced world of NFTs. The slow, deliberate approach to photography and writing counters the fast pace of the NFT world as the viewer pauses to decipher the photographic forms and the writing itself. These are human-generated photographic overlays. By bringing two photographs, taken at different spaces and times, then bringing them to one canvas, I attempt to generate newer forms that meld together to create something new. The work spans two years of my life (2018-2020). Each piece contains a photograph from different segments in my life and is a result of overlapping times and spaces. As if traveling back in time, and then forward simultaneously.
