Lake Effect

Lake Effect is a collection of my favorite photos that I've taken on the Chicago lakefront over the course of two years from 2019 to 2021 during the loneliest and darkest days of my life. From cold winter nights to hot summer days. As a teen, I always found comfort in sitting by the lake, putting in my headphones, and watching the world go by. Detaching from reality for a moment, talking to myself, and watching people walk pass, wondering if anyone else was there because they felt as alone and lost as I did. Taking these photos has allowed me to express the constant depressive and suicidal thoughts that had consumed me on a daily basis and still do to this day. Each photo in this collection ...View all
