Living Still

After each piece was captured, I sat with each image, listening to the story it wanted to tell. This helped me to slow down and learn how to breathe again, as I didn’t have to rush what was wanting to be born from this project. Each image that was captured was more on a whim, but at the same time was a silent process as I looked with an empty mind until it was time to click the shutter. It involved moving the subjects to different angles while bending the light to bring it to life. I chose to add contrast by darkening the background to allow the subject to breathe its true form.
