**"The Blue Wizards"** Glacial river systems have always mesmerized me. Their feathery blue veins illuminated by refracting glacial flour flow through scraped landscapes like abstract art. The image of one river existing in separate streams that ultimately flow into unified oneness is a metaphor that resonates deep within. Yet this reality brings a sobering reminder: all things move toward their end. The slow death of a glacier can yield the most stunning of sights. Like a dying star that explodes into a technicolor nebula, a glorious death can be both sobering & mesmerizing, sad & hopeful.
