The Flat City

It was the 90s when I first arrived in Nagoya. The city was so different from where I came from and so different from how I had imagined it. Life then led my family and me to travel between Japan and Italy for many years until 2015, when we decided to stop here for good. One day while reading the newspaper I discovered that Nagoya had been crowned as the most boring city in Japan. Not that it surprised me, nothing ever happens here and life is pretty flat, restaurants close early and there are very few attractions. But what is a flat city really?
