Broken Series

This collection derives from my decades as a graphic designer and once I stopped fighting my design past, I began incorporating the logos and icons into my artwork. Initially it felt empowering to break those logos apart as a form of rebellion -- but it became a technique that I love using to create my pieces. Each of these, I start by painting a canvas (the palette knife is my tool of choice), I do the logo and icon manipulation in photoshop, I have that printed onto the canvas and I paint again on top of the piece to complete my vision.
