History told by Icons

"History told by icons" is a series of three collages based on my somewhat critical view of the modern image culture, which is nothing more than the primacy of the image created by the media over the word and all kinds of cultural expressions outside what is shown in the media as media spectacle. For this I take as references, elements and icons of beauty from Ancient Egypt, a culture based on the cult of the image. I use as a protagonist the black woman, a common thread and seal of my artistic discourse and an icon of modern beauty.
