Andre Wagner - Pigment and Water - Collection of 81 Time Works

A complete work of 81 individual images. From the roof of the Dauji temple in India, I took the same bird's-eye view during the Holi festival with 81 different settings of the variables aperture, filter, ISO and exposure time. This body of work is a study of space and time and a demonstration of photography. The devotees in the images are always in motion, but as individuals they almost fade into the background. Situations that can be perceived in detail when looking closely become blurred in the play with time, and the people are ultimately even instrumentalized as variables of the wild brushstroke.
