Body Manipulation and Abstraction

The initial project started as an abstract representation of the human body by taking close-up shots of various parts. In every image, my purpose is to create a “metasoma” which is literally defined as “a region that cannot be readily analyzed into its primitive segmentation”. In the case of my photos, my purpose was to create such a photo that it would be difficult to analyze which part of the body was initially being photographed. The project became more surreal as I was getting deeper into it.
