The role of women in the industry allows for empowerment and the elimination of clichés. Though female artists did manage to break into the industry, success was more challenging to achieve for women compared to their male counterparts. That is what distinguishes the personalities we are honoring; they have made a significant contribution to the culture we adore. They are deserving of recognition!
