Lockdown to Let Out

After Washington D.C. issued their lockdown order, I traveled to the National Mall to document what life looked like in one of the most heavily trafficked areas of the nation's capital with few people around. Seven months later I returned to recreate the previous photos I took as people were trying to return to a sense of normalcy. These diptychs are moments of history as we traveled through this pandemic.
