Gianfranco Chiavacci

In close collaboration with the artist’s estate, elementum is delighted to present the Genesis NFT drop of Gianfranco Chiavacci. Curated by Georg Bak, the Genesis NFT collection consists of 5 works from Chiavacci’s “Cibachrome” series, rotations, and spinnings in space dating from the early 1970s. The Italian artist diverged from conventional camera use and explored, captured, and repeated the movement and impact of objects in space and time. The photographic research began with experimentation with moving bodies and the resulting accumulation of light, which was Chiavacci’s main interest.
