Need Check

Hierarchy of Needs. Inspired by #checksvv and @jackbutcher of @visualizevalue. The Hierarchy of Needs is an idea in psychology proposed by the American psychologist Abraham Maslow. It is usually portrayed in the shape of a pyramid, with the most fundamental needs at the bottom, and the need for self-actualization at the top. What I wanted to capture with this piece is that with the Checks NFTs Jack Butcher has created something that rises above the usual symbols of status. Checks and the journey towards the single black check represent something that an 8 dollar status symbol on Twitter never could – they represent creativity and self actualization.
