The smelt (Osmerus eperlanus) is a 15-18 cm long fish that was actively traded in the heart of Lüneburg in the Middle Ages. This place today is known as "Stintmarkt".(german: smelt market) Once the trading point for the delicious fish, the "Stintmarkt" in the water district is now a popular bar mile. As a fisher from Lüneburg, I dedicate this ever-growing collection of smelt fish to the smelt as a fish and the party area.
Unique handcrafted collectibles. *NFTs made in Lüneburg!*
