(NON)SENSE

These pieces are absurd. There's a disconnect between what you're seeing and what the rational or common sense brain is expecting to see. That dissonance is the essence of these artworks. But it's fleeting because your brain is already rationalizing and making sense of what you see. Even as I write this description, your perception and conscious awareness have changed your understanding of these artworks. And you'll likely never experience that initial unconscious reaction again. That dissonance is the beauty in the absurd.
