S O L I T U D E Edition of 25 Photography + poetry Artist: Alex Mackenzie *Do I belong here? This energy is anxious, not bright. With no end in sight, just fight or flight. These kids aren’t alright. This air isn’t light. I’m suffocating, chest tight. Neither smog nor smoke… no, it’s generation “grind”. Precluding creative bliss whilst numbing the mind. I don’t want to march amongst drones. Friends, rather than “seeing” each other, hide behind phones. Physically together, increasingly alone. Isolating while feigning connection. With such velocity, moments are blurred.
