Cast My Shadow

moments of happiness passed, makes me long for deeper meaning to this feeling, the hurt in my chest making my emotions waver, a tear drop behind those pretty smiles, pretense of a happy life, disguised with false expressions, i wait for a sign, a sign to help guide me towards the true hqppiness i long for, like a lantern, a shadow is cast beneath, so does it feel like when a smiling face covers a sad one.
